Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how The Works Petitioning ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information from job applicants, contractors, and visitors who interact with us, including through our website, job applications, and text messaging program.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including: your name, phone number, email address, mailing address, and social media handles; employment and experience information you submit in a job application or resume; signed agreements and tax-related documents you provide for onboarding; and records of your communications with us.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: review job applications and assess qualifications; communicate with you about recruiting, hiring, onboarding, scheduling, assignments, and pay; send you text messages and emails about petition campaign opportunities you have consented to receive; process payments and meet tax and legal obligations; and operate, maintain, and improve our business.

Text Messaging (SMS) Program

If you opt in, we send account notification text messages to our crew about assignments, scheduling, pay, onboarding, and other work-related matters. You opt in by checking the SMS consent box on our application or onboarding form, by texting our keyword to our number, or by confirming consent during a recruiting call. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for assistance.

Mobile information sharing. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Any other mentions in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. If you wish to be removed from receiving future communications, you can opt out by texting STOP.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate our business — such as our customer relationship management, messaging, database, and tax-filing providers — solely to perform services on our behalf, and with clients or authorities where required to perform petition work or comply with law. As stated above, mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain employment and tax records, and comply with legal obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Uploaded documents are stored in a private, access-controlled vault available only to authorized company administrators.

Your Choices

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us using the details below.
